Dr. Ashok Seth is widely regarded as one of India’s most esteemed interventional cardiologists, boasting an impressive career spanning over 32 years. He is celebrated for his remarkable achievements, having performed over 50,000 angiograms and 20,000 angioplasties.

Dr. Seth’s accomplishments have earned him recognition in the esteemed “LIMCA” Book of Records for conducting one of the highest numbers of angiographies and angioplasties globally. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first cardiologist in the Asia Pacific region to successfully perform an Angioscopy and directional Atherectomy.

Among his notable feats, Dr. Seth is counted among the select few cardiologists worldwide to have conducted the innovative Percutaneous Myocardial Laser Revascularization procedure. His contributions to the field have garnered prestigious accolades, including being bestowed with the Doctorate of Science (D.Sc.) honoris Causa by Banaras Hindu University, making him one of the youngest recipients of this honor.

Furthermore, Dr. Seth’s exceptional talents have been recognized internationally, as evidenced by his fellowship awards from all three Royal Colleges of London, Edinburgh, and Ireland at a remarkably young age. His outstanding achievements have also been honored by the President of India, who conferred upon him the prestigious National awards of “Padma Bhushan” and “Padma Shri.”

In addition to his numerous accolades, Dr. Seth has made significant contributions to the global medical community, being the first cardiologist from Asia to be elected to the Board of Governors of the Society of Cardiac Angiographies and Intervention (USA).
